That’s where Automattic‘s Radical Speed Month comes in, an idea championed by Matt Mullenweg himself. For one month, the company asked its engineers to focus entirely on innovation. It was a historic moment: the whole company kept running on a skeleton crew of brave volunteers, while everyone else, engineers, Happiness Engineers, admins, designers, HR, and more, rolled up their sleeves to try to innovate in an era where AI can write code, and it’s humans who bring the endless creativity.
